The active and passive safety equipment in the Peugeot 2008 allow you to have absolute confidence in your vehicle, without ever relinquishing you of your responsibility as driver.

All Peugeot 2008 models have a high level of active safety thanks to the inclusion of an ESP system as standard. This brings together the functions of Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBV and CBC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) and Intelligent Traction Controli which allow for optimal driving of the 2008 when the road conditions are unfavourable.

AIRBAGS

In the event of a collision, six airbags add to passenger protection: two front airbags, two side airbags and two curtain airbags.

STATIC DIRECTIONAL LIGHTING

As dipped-beam or main beam headlights, this function allows the fog-lights to light up bends in the road, when the vehicle speed is below 40 km/h (inner-city driving, winding roads, crossroads, parking manoeuvres etc.).

GRIP CONTROL

PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS

Peugeot is harmonising the emergency call out system across Europe. At a time when every minute counts, you can rely on PEUGEOT CONNECT SOSi to take quick action. Automatic emergency call: in the event of the airbags or pyrotechnic seatbelts being triggered, the vehicle makes an emergency call without any need for the involvement of the driver. PEUGEOT CONNECT SOSi then locates the vehicle, establishes telephone communication with the occupants and then calls out the necessary emergency services. Communication can be undertaken in the mother tongue of the vehicle owner. Manual emergency call: whether a victim or witness of an emergency (illness, attack), the driver can quickly use PEUGEOT CONNECT SOSi. To do so, you can simply press (3 seconds) the SOS button located on the dashboard. PEUGEOT CONNECT SOSi is currently available in 13 European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, UK, Denmark and Poland).
